    The clear alternative to braces

Orthodontics is the process of straightening teeth to correct misalignment, overbite, and prevent physiological problems. Arndale Dental uses several incredible modern dental techniques to achieve this, from fixed metal braces to Invisalign.

    What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a teeth straightening method that uses clear plastic aligners to create a subtle, discreet treatment.

Unlike metal and ceramic fixed braces, Invisalign is almost completely invisible. The removable shield lets you carry on with your day to day life without feeling self-conscious about your appearance.

The aligners will be changed every two weeks, gradually nudging your teeth into position until you have the results you are looking for. It is a completely bespoke treatment designed for you and you alone, yet we don’t need you to make an impression by biting into unpleasant gooey material. So how do we do it?

The Arndale Dental practice is equipped with an iTero scanner. It is just a taste of some of the innovative technology we have here to make your life easier and your treatments more comfortable.

iTero is a 3D visualisation system dedicated to visualising how your teeth will look at the end of an Invisalign treatment. With a built-in Invisalign Outcome Simulator we can show you clear before and after images so you know exactly what to expect. Only once you are happy with the suggested treatment and the digital outcome will we create your aligners. No nasty surprises here.

Invisalign Clear Braces are not a single treatment for everybody. The process is very much customised to your needs. As well as the full treatment for complete realignment, we also offer several other types of Invisalign treatment for less severe cases. Invisalign Go and Invisalign Lite are designed for milder cases of tooth misalignment, best for treating moderate crowding of teeth.

Will I need to have teeth removed?

Tooth removal sometimes coincides with orthodontic treatments like Invisalign, and completely depends on the individual. Severe cases of overcrowding may need some tooth removal to create space which allows the rest of the teeth to move. Mild cases of misalignment may just need a gentle nudge. Your dentist will advise on the best kind of treatment you need.
